"I have a collaborative and pragmatic approach to problem solving."
Health & Safety Consultant
I am very personable and build good working relationships with Client representatives and contractors alike. I have a great eye for detail, I know what good health and safety looks like and am passionate about delivering compliance.
I have developed professionally by operating successfully as a regional advisor on contract to a large housing association, becoming a local school governor, joining the Bristol and West branch of IOSH and completing CPD to attain Tech IOSH status. I plan to continue broadening this work experience for the benefit of organisations within the public, private and non-profit sectors.
I am a reliable, tenacious manager with over 16 years of experience, delivering support services within a large, unionised chill and frozen food distribution operation. I operated as a key member of the depot’s leadership team with a track record for improving compliance pragmatically using a challenging / coaching management style that enabled individuals and their teams to take ownership of their performances, whilst bringing necessary expertise and gravitas to the role.
Recent Key Experience:
M. L. Safety at Ford’s Bridgend Engine Plant
This interim role was at Ford's Engine Plant on the Dragon project. This was a CDM working environment compliant with Ford's global construction specification.
The project involved between 150 and 200 European contractors with the refurbishment of 377,000 sq. ft. of the building and infrastructure (over 20% of the whole facility); manufacturing plant and machine refurbishments and the receipt and commissioning of new machines.
This was a very busy project and safety conflicts between trades and engineers were avoided through careful planning, daily meetings where work activities were communicated well and understood.
