MEET THE TEAM

Anthony Heaton-Jones

Anthony Heaton-Jones

Founder and Director

I started CHASE Consulting as I had a passion for Health and Safety and ensuring that it had real value rather than being a box ticking exercise. I could see how I could make a difference and ultimately influence others and show how making health and safety a priority meant that everyone was a winner.

My exposure to many diverse projects has given me invaluable experience in health & safety and environmental consultancy across many market sectors for both public and private enterprises. These include construction, medical, mining, environmental and commercial. Acting as a CDM Coordinator for high level clients, I have flexibility and exceptional expertise in all forms of health, safety and environmental management with the ability to direct strategic planning of organisational policy and procedures. I have specialist knowledge on built environmental issues and have a personal interest in the environmental implications of construction projects as well as the promotion of the Construction Design & Management Regulations (CDM).

James Byatt

James Byatt

Senior Health and Safety Consultant

I have been a Health & Safety Professional since 1999 and have worked in industry sectors including Recruitment, Public Sector, Highways, The Charity Sector, Construction & Student Accommodation.

I advised teams on achieving H&S Compliance from pre-construction through to post completion. I have also secured ISO 9001, 18001 and 45001  for a regional contractor.

I like being part of a proactive, passionate and driven team as these are also some of my attributes. I am approachable, fair and always ready to help find a solution where a safe approach is required but time, resource and budget are also key priorities for consideration. It’s all about the balance.

Effective Health & Safety Management isn’t just about enforcement and Compliance. Engaging with all stakeholders, at all levels and fostering collaborative relationships is key to success.

When done well, Safety becomes a seamless part of everyone’s working life, not just that of the Safety Advisor or Consultant.

Simon Pullin

Senior Health and Safety Consultant

I'm an experienced EHS Consultant, PD and CDM Advisor with a successful track record in CDM compliance and providing technical environmental, health and safety support to clients in the preparation and training of clear and robust procedures and documentation.

I have over 42 years’ experience in the construction industry, starting out as a structural engineer, before moving into construction project management and then safety.

I have high standards for the projects I support. For me, a small project is as important as a large one, it involves design, people to build it and people to operate and maintain it. It is my belief that all work undertaken in construction or operational activities should be run and managed in a safe way, and any person involved has the right to work in a safe way.

I am a Certified Member of the APS  (CMaPS), Technical Member of IOSH and hold the NEBOSH General Certificate.
