I am an experienced EHS Consultant and Principal Designer  / CDM Advisor with a successful track record in CDM compliance and providing technical environmental, health and safety support to clients in the preparation and training of clear and robust procedures and documentation.

I have over 42 years’ experience in the construction industry, starting out as a young structural engineer, before moving into construction project management and then safety. 

I have strived to take these high standards into the projects that I have supported as CDM Coordinator, Principal Designer or CDM Advisor over the years. For me, a small project is just as important as a large airport terminal, it involves design, people to build it and people to operate and maintain it. It is my belief that all work undertaken by contractors or individuals in construction or operational activities should be run and managed in a safe way, and any person involved has the right to work in a safe way.

I am a Certified Member of the Association of Project Safety (CMaPS), Technician Member of IOSH and hold the NEBOSH General Certificate. My skills include, onsite health and safety inspections, compliance audits, development and training of health and safety systems and of course specialising in CDM

In the last few years I have started offering general health and safety support to clients outside of construction, particularly supporting a number of global companies in developing bespoke health and safety standards, in such subjects as contractor management, confined space entry and working with hazardous energies.
